  • In partnership with the Confederation of British Industry (CBI), BusinessLDN and Virgin Group, the morning session of the Summit took place at Virgin Headquarters:

    Business leaders had the opportunity to hear from Ken Oliver, RBIJ Advisory Council Member, as he shared his journey from justice involvement to executive leadership.

    A conversation with a panel of experts followed, including Darren Burns, Director of Diversity & Inclusion at Timpson Group; Paul Cowley MBE, Director of Rehabilitation at Iceland Foods; Katie Dash, Chief of Staff at CBI; and Colin Shute, Group CEO & Founder at SBFM and Chair of the Employment Advisory Board. The panel discussed the importance of fair chance recruitment and how businesses can tap into a valuable untapped talent pool and address workforce shortages.

  • Kindly hosted by Lord Dr Michael Hastings of Scarisbrick CBE, the evening session of the Summit was a parliamentary reception at the House of Lords. Business leaders, justice experts and parliamentarians were invited to attend and discuss the value of corporate engagement in justice reform and its role in building a stronger, fairer economy.

    Lord Hastings led a conversation with Ken Oliver, RBIJ Advisory Council Member, focusing on the importance of the FairChecks campaign and the need to review the outdated Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
